Our Vision & Mission
WITH A JOYFUL HEART!
Our Lefevre Catholic Community is a community of people of faith.
Our pastoral vision is to be a “community of communities, a sanctuary where the thirsty come to drink in the midst of their journey, and a centre of constant missionary outreach” (Evangelium Gaudium #28).
Centred on Jesus Christ, our community finds joy in our worship of God and our care for one another. We are a community which looks outward, caring for those in need. We are welcoming to families. With love, we provide special support to the needy and to seafarers.
Our two schools have a great history in serving the educational needs of our families. In everything, we seek to do the will of God.
“The mission that God entrusts to each one of us leads us from fear and introspection to a renewed realisation that we find ourselves precisely when we give ourselves to others” (Pope Francis, World Mission Day 2020).
We are a geographical parish, one of the parishes of the Archdiocese of Adelaide. Our parish covers the beautiful Lefevre Peninsula. This structure as a parish means that every Catholic resident on the peninsula belongs. No-one is left out or abandoned.
Our facilities include two Churches (Semaphore and Taperoo), a shared Church (West Lakes), meeting rooms, and a Centre for Seafarers.
